1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie
Help needed, please...I once owned a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. It was a white 2-door (the fastback model that looked like a convertible) with white interior, bucket seats, and a center console where the automatic transmission thumb-button stick lever was located, and under the hood was the 352 ci engine. The wheels had the spinner-design covers. On the top front of the front fenders there was a chrome accent rib WITH a small orb attached which all of the pictures of and cars I've seen since do not have. The outside mirrors were attached to the rear of the front fenders, not on the doors. It also had chrome rocker panels which I've never seen on any Galaxy since. I've been through Ford books and talked with Ford Galaxie owners with no help as to the identity of this car's oddities or uniqueness (?). Unfortunately I did not have the foresight to keep this car.
If anyone can help me figure out this identification dilemma I would greatly appreciate it.
