A couple of women in jogging gear came into marks and spencer's cafe the other day. They had strong pikey accents and asked if they cld blag a couple of glasses of water as they were out jogging. Then the woman said 'i'm sweating like a rapist here' amd 'i felt like gary glitter'. I thought this was in pretty bad taste, especially the gary glitter line, but i was talking to my mate afterwards and he had a slighty different take on things.

I always assumed this sort of statement referred to the sweating during the physical exertion of assumed activity a rapist or gary glitter engages in, in an active sense. My mate has always taken it to mean a metaphor for worried about police wanting a quiet word because of said activity in a passive sense. A subtle difference but i just wondered what ppl thought this kinda phrase meant:

1 sweating due to exertion (active)

2 sweating due to worry (passive)

Nonsense i know but interested to hear what others think

 

Sod that were they fit? Failing that do ya like dags?

 

That's exactly what my mate said

I guess if they were regular 35 yo mums they'd be not bad. But trust me, the accent would really really put u off

 

my guess they were out theiving and were legging it away from a shop or person they had just robbed.
