Default Scrap metal prices

I know this is kinda thread is an everyday occurence
just spoke to my dad whos just weighed a few bits of scrap out of his garden and he reckons they were paying £222 a ton? said he got 70 quid for the bits n bobs he had about.
Now my dad is one for exagerating but he knows i have got a trailer full of scrap waiting to go in the next few days so surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to talk bull about that?
sound anywhere near right?

Good luck.
I recently scrapped an escort estate and only got £60 for it.

I think people paying silly money are the exception rather than the rule.
I tried several places locally and some wouldnt offer me anything but a 'free collection'. Thanks but no thanks..

if you've got access to a trailer, take them in seperatly, whip the alloys and cat off and sit it on its belly.

deffinatly take the cat off though but take it at a different time in case they decide its not worth 130 a ton without the cat.

i've got the pink pug (in my sig) thats been rolled 4 times, had the roof chopped off and filled with scrap metal, and the engine, box and suspension dropped off, wonder what that weighs?
