Default Standard sized direct replacement bells and rotors

To fit under your original calipers - Much call ?

Re stocking up on some at the minute so making a few extra is possible if there is any more interest.

2wd and 4x4 both being done.

At the moment I race on standard calipers, red stuff pads and standard size replacement drilled discs. I've been considering an upgrade but cannot go with bigger discs as the original 15" wheel needs to fit over the brakes.

NUTS RuS, what set-up would you recommend and do you think it would improve the braking?

2WD btw.

Charlie

I went from std cossie 2wd set up on my old sierra(2.1GL) to alloy bells with discs to suit, but still standard size and there was a VERY noticeable difference in resistance to brake fade, even with the same pads, I assumed the alloy was transfering the heat much better into the wheel etc than the all steel std ones.

i modded std 2wd 4 pots with a wider spacer to run with 330m discs and they were awesome. also had to mod the calipers to fit behind 17" wheels as the calipers are a bit big, but it was worth it.

If you can reduce a little unsprung weight off the hub and run cooler that will help a good deal yes Charlie.

What series are you competing in ? What do the regs allow for ?

Toyo Tyres Racing Saloons. Regs say only that the original wheel must be able to be refitted and that anything else can be changed as long as the mounting points are retained. So I can change to bells, decent rotors, new calipers but must all fit within 15" wheels.

You could comission the ultra lightweight competition 6 pot to be retro fitted I guess.

With that caliper I'd guess we are looking at maybe a 285/290mm rotor/bell size.

How are the red stuff doing for you ? Winning any class points ?

Is the shell standard or lightweight and has the suspension had any upgrades
