Default Who can make up ally pipework??

I'm after an induction pipe for my new Evo 6, don't mind if it's second hand or whatever, but people are charging stupid amounts of money for very little work IMHO.

i'm after summat like this;

the turbo side is 2.5" i think, the maf/filter side is 3".

can anyone here make up pipework? i'm not a tight ass really, but refuse to pay stupid prices if i don't need to.

any ideas?

ps, the turbo end doesn't need to have a lipped edge like the photo, that was all i could find as a guide....a straight end would suffice

What do you call silly money? How much is the one above?

Do you have an existing one to act as a jig?

The problem is to buy a length of that size ally tube will cost a fortune these days. I can also see why the have used a lobster back bend rather than buy a proper formed bend. I don't think there will be much change from Ł40 for a 3" ally bend these days.

try Alloy Racing fabrication, you can find him on ebay and message him about what you want, he is called Jim and did an intake for my zectec turbo the other year, was more than reasonable IMO.

I don't have one to act as a jig tbh, but can provide measurements that will be near as dammit i reckon...

the pic was one for sale second hand that went for about Ł60 i think.

If the true cost is higher than what i thought then fair enough...it just seems tooo dear lol.

Cusco do a alloy hardpipe for it. Also do a relocation kit for the battery too which moves it further back and you can get a better cold air feed. My mate had one with a Blitz filter on it but hes sold the car. Shall I ask him if he still has it if you want?

nothing on there that sticks out...although i have just pm'd one guy who had one a while back.

i have some ally that's suitable, just not the resources to make it myself

i also want a battery tray doing, but again i don't see how people can charge Ł50+ for a small battery tray!!

maybe i am a tight ass!!
