Default MOT Certificate

Just got the car back from garage after passing its MOT, then after driving back home realised that they got the mileage wrong on the certificate.

presumeably it was just a typo or something, but theyve put down the car as 66k instead of 64k, so it's down as doing 2000 miles more than its actually done.

theyve got the wrong mileage on the garage invoice, the MOT certificate itself, but not on the seperate sheet for the emissions test..

i'm not really sure if this is a big deal or not.. (?)
i kind of take keeping an organised service history overly seriously lol so it's annoying that it's kind of fucked the records up, but other than that it's not a major issue is it? the DVLA don't keep a record of the mileage recorded after every MOT test taken do they?

plus, the garage can just correct it and print me off another certificate, right?

It can probably be rectified, & they cant charge you more than a tenner for a duplicate certificate so it wont cost you the earth

yes they should be able to sort it for you. If you were to sell the car now, and the mot says it has done more miles than it actually has, you could get in bother for clocking it!

If you go back to the testing station within 24hrs they can issue a replacement certificate with the correct mileage on it, after this time it has to be done through DVLA.
