Default Porsche Carrera 4s

What they like then ? Any major problems ? You seem to be able to get 02 for around 30-33k What kind of car would you expect for that ? A dog or something decent ?

The prices of these seem to be coming down a little - as with most supercars in the current climate!

Carrera 4S is great car but for this kind of money you would be looking at one with a higher mileage or non-full Porsche service history which is a must really!! Also C4S is prone to RMS failure as are most 996's though the earlier 3400cc engines cars are more likely to suffer than a 3600cc engined one! Id go a couple of grand more and buy a nice one privately, preferably one covered by a OPC warranty!!

I nearly bought one earlier this year but opted for a 996 Turbo which I have now had for a month now!!

Amazing car, but look at a few before you buy - it is a buyers market! Any other advice needed....pm me! You will love driving one, truly fantastic! The Turbo is even better!!

Ask Porkie, he owned a C4S for a while before his Turbo too!!

I have driven a few of them at one of these test drive days an i didnt really like the 4S that i drove.

couldnt stand the slappy paddle gearbox (well, thumbs), manual woulda been far better, and didnt feel like it needed the 4WD at all. those were my main gripes (oh and it was a vert, looked gash)

i just felt a lot happier sitting in the driver seat of the 2WD one

if you need to drive a 911 every day rain or shine then i supposed the 4WD is mroe sensible, but normally theyre weekend cars anyway that wont be used in tose situations, in which case the 2wd grips fine.

hell even the GT2 has full traction in 1st gear so i dont think the carerra2S will struggle... lol

C4S's are wank... get a 996TT

or get a 997... under £40k now!

All Porsches are getting HAMMERED in value! they reckon £2BILLION wiped off the value of used Porsches in uk this year alone!

Cayenne values are frightening!

it was... erm... MENTALLY FAST, 175mph in 3/4m! couldnt change gear quick enough in 1,2,3!

but still somehow tame at the same time

woulda liked to compare it to the turbo, but alas there was no time
