Default mk 3 fiesta fill up with petrol

was just wondering is there a special way of filling up a fiesta rs turbo with out the petrol running down the side of the car cos its making my car rust slightly around the petrol cap and its doing my head in?

if you put the nozzle in and turn it anti clockwise a quarter of a turn. the fuel will go straight in.

youve been filling it up long enough for it to start rusting but youve never considered turning the nozzle slightly to prevent the overspill?
