hi again,
i fitted a mongoose full system on the weekend and have now found the car is undrivable!!!
the noise is unreal. its making me feel a bit edgey on the road as there is alot of police in my area and dont really want to get pulled over... my mates got the same system on his car and its ALOT quieter. i brought the system off ebay so its not new and am thinking maybe the baffles in the silencer are gone. has anyone come accross anything like this on their mongoose. ect? any ideas welcome??

 

I've got a magnex system and its really loud if you're not used to it. My mate had a standard exhaust on his and the difference was unreal.
The cops aren't that bad think you would have to be doing something to piss them off, its a proper exhaust not some bodge chav job.

yeah i know what you mean but my mate has got the same system on his car and its alot quieter ANY IDEAS??

 

Might be a differen AGE of manufacture causing the difference as the noise regs are tighter now, ie yours might be an older system.
I have just fitted a scorpion to my astra(enzo killer) and that was VERY quiet, upon enquiring at scorpion this is what they told me, as I mentioned the sapphy system was so much louder.
I realise they are totally different cars, but it seems EEC noise regs are to blame.
