Im not too impress with the long throw of the gearchange on my 4x4 sapphire cossie.
So, ive bought a quick shift, which came with no instructions.
Tried to fit it the other night, removed the gearknob, but couldnt see how to remover the collar/plastic thing thats left.

Any ideas?

 

you need to drop the gearbox slightly & remove the selector linkage from underneath the car

 

hmm, that sounds far too technical for me, think I'll just put up with it the way it is!!

And the gearstick is too far forward! Needs moving back 6 inches on the tunnel if you ask me, unless you have very short legs then you're probably ok!
