Smile what to do engine wise

i have got a track s2 which i have fitted with big brakes /coilovers /polybushes / rollcage/ now im at the point to tune the engine or fit something else. i dont know what to do do i keep with the cvh or go for a zetec turbo. i have 4-5 grand to spend and can build the engine myself all i want is something that will take alot of abuse as i go to the ring for 2 weeks a year. any suggestions with ideas and prices will be appreciated.

I would do a CVH myself with decent management, gearbox, intercooler etc for that money

still worth remembering that the fastest escorts are still powered by CVH at this time

Zetec engines are far superior and considerably more reliable (less wear). 4-5 grand will be enough for you to build your own 300bhp steel engine, which is more than enough!

why would a Zetec be more reliable than a well built steel CVH if both are rebuilt to a high standard using new parts ?

im interested that's all

To be honest there is not right answer imho as it would depend upon your driving style, what you wanted from the car and the tracks it was being used on
