Cd wont play

I have downloaded some music & burned it on to disc using wmp 11, now it will play on the pc but it will not play on the cd player in the car (Mondeo st) or on the hi fi, can anyone help

Could be the type of blank CD you've used. You've not used a RW (ReWriteable) have you?

Or, if you burned it as MP3 files (very likely), a lot of car stereos cant read them.

Not used a rewriteable, looks like it was set on data cd instead of audio cd, it plays on the hi-fi now just got to check it in the car
