i'm 28, 9 years protected NCB, been driving since 1997. i have made 1 claim on somebody elses insurance in 2006 (not my fault)

want to insure my stage 3 2wd cossie with all mods declared, with BHP quoted at 380bhp (it wont be that much, probably about 360-370)

Greenlight want around £650 but HIC want over £1200. Identical details

Obviously i'll be going with Greenlight, but i still think £650 is a little steep - anybody else think the same? any recommendations?

depends alot on postcode

i insured my stage 3 saff in 2006, with only 3 years NCB, at 26 yrs old through greenlight for just under £600

would be suprised if anyone does cheaper than greenlight, but it does make ALOT of difference what postcode you are in

 

had a previous bad experience with Adria Flux and reluctant to use them again

and the thing is i live in a nice area in a nice part of swindon

Greenlight have been the best for my Escos for 2 years in a row, and thier policys regarding mod replacement etc is outstanding.

Im 30 and have 7 yrs ncb on my 2wd saff fully declared 500bhp and 1 sp30. Adrian flux insured me for £650. I was happy with that but on the other hand ive had no trouble with them.

surprised at the difference! frustrating isnt it! usually the same 2 companies i try and they are opposite way round!

 

frustrating aint the word - £650 aint that bad but maybe i was naive in thinking i'd get it for £450-500
