Default what suspension

im running standerd suspension at the moment and have been llooking into a 40mm spax kit.
found this gaz kit on ebay. are they any good or should i stick to the spax/koni ect.

Wouldn't recommend them TBH. The front will be okay, but you will be putting all the sprung tension onto the rear shock top mounts and it is not uncommon for the mounting to break away from the shell with use if not reinforced.

Personally, I would only go 15-20mm drop as any more can make the ride uncomfortable, plus would look for something like Bilstein gas dampers with a reputable progressive-rate spring.

so whats the best sping and shock kit to get? i want to lower it 40mm and have been told that the spax kit are good? what you recon ??

stay away from gaz coil overs m8 i have them in my car and would not recommend and also if you put coil overs in you need to go for a rear disc conversion

yeah am staying well away from them, but i have standerd suspension at the min and want to lower it 40mm.. a mate of mine has told me the SPAX kits are good or should i go for any of the other makes?

yes m8 go for spax they seem to be good my m8 has them in his cossie and he says there a great job

I've used SPAX in the past and they were very good, so were chassis dynamics(avo) springs and shocks.

What makes you say that ?

There is no connection whatsoever between running coilovers and needing a rear disc conversion

Spax are not in the same league as Koni... If you want decent dampers, then buy Koni, Bilstein, DeCarbon etc.. If you want budget crap, then buy avo/spax/gmax/other_german_brands_like_weitec

have them in my car and i just dont like them my head was up my hole and i dont now why i said thst about the rear disc conversion
