Ive got a 90spec s2 rst It went for a mot last week and failed on nsr brake not working very good. So I took the drum off and changed the brake cylinder. But I carnt get any fluid through it I dont understand why Now both rear brakes dont work when I put my foot on the brakes but the hand brake works ok

Has any one got any ideas why or what Iam doing wrong

are you bleedning your brakes when the car is on the deck ? the wheels must be on th ground

 

1st the whole rear of the car was jacked up but then I did reed that it has to be on the deck have I buggerd something up beacause I tried bleeding it in the air first

 

any ideas why??? i have to take off my drums soon to change the shoes and would like to bleed the fluid threw, but have never heard of having to do it on the ground??

 

The load compensators on the back under the rear seat close when the car is off the ground ,suspension related

 

The rears still wont bleed any ideas should I get one of them easy bleed kits

 

get a garage to pressure bleed them, thts what i had to do, but i got my rears working was my fronts tht were full of air

Sounds like the load compensators at the back have siezed up.

Try taking them off, stripping, cleaning and putting them back on.

If not, you will need new ones.
