Default CVH head on Zetec block - help needed!!

With all the ZVH conversions kickin about, I was wondering if this would be a feasible conversion? 1800 Zetec block, 1600 CVH head with a single carb?

Just wanting to put an engine in my daily runner 1.1 Bonus that is reliable and fairly cheap but quite quick. The thing with this idea is i don't have to mess about fitting stuff for the injection system, I can use a mk4 XR3i exhaust rather than fabricating an exhaust to fit, the Zetec bottom end fits in easily and bolts to mk4 box so thats the starter, driveshafts etc no problem.

Any advice/comments/help?

The best advise i could offer is pay for someone to build the engine properly, ensuring the compression ratios are correct etc.

You will also need to modify the engine mount.

But basically it is a firly easy route to extra power.

CR may be a problem NA< with the std 1800 pistons and a CVH head you getb ~8.3:1CR .

I think you skim 2.5mm of the head to get a CR of 10.5:1, valve posckets in the pistons will help
