Default Why should i spend £6000 on a ford

I Love Fords, I had first car as 1.1 fiesta and put xr2i kit and seats etc
never got to greasy through and now i have a 02 focus 1.8 z, heated leather seats and tints and a sound system and a few bits.
But i fed up with the pace of the car at top end also i had the fault with the speedo which i keep fighting with ford wakefield and york (might hav result of going postal) and i need some more power but nothing to kill me now please (work run)
SOOOO i want to up grade but is it a ford or do i go to the darkside jap or germ - help help
i got £2500 cash and i guess i might get £3300 for the focus or something,
What would you do ??????????

If I had my time again mate i'd buy an Evo or a Skyline GTR over any fords!

You'd be able to pic up a nice Evo 4 or 5 for that kind of money, or you could even get a Skyline R32 GTR 2.6 Twin Turbo!

Something i'm seriously considering...

I have a Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec (sig pic). Its my second car but thsi is the first car that's properly mine (my first was a shed and is my dad's daily hack). I'm only 18 so I'm pretty please with it right now but honestly, its not really worth trying to get a lot of power out of it.

To be honest with you, for the money you've got to spend, getting high power jap is going to be a bit hit and miss and you could end up with a right old dog and as a daily hack it wouldnt be ideal. You could probably get a nice BMW E36/E46 325i or 328i which would be real smooth and poky as well.

Have you looked at the older beemers!? Half of them are hanging out their fucking arse!

Why would you end with a dog through going Jap? It's bull...

Nothing wrong with a high powered car for everyday use, if they are properly looked after they are fine and fun everyday!

Get a low miler 2.0 engine, give it to Ian Howell in Lincoln and let him give you the engine back with all that money spent on the right parts
