Me and the girlfriend have bought a new everyday car as the 106 XND is dying on it's ass
It's a 1.4Si with about 80k on the clock so it's ideal everyday around town and is quite nippy with it's 88bhp
Here's some pics:

Now seening that i'm very unlikely to get project running this year this is my only chance on going to the ring this year and maybe a few track days.
The missus suggested the idea which i was ready to dismiss but the more I though about it it does make sence, a decent suspension and better brakes and it will be ok on the track. I'm also going to buy a set of alloys for the track with some sticky tyres and keeping the steels for everyday use. The steels are 15's so hopefully a set of cossie brakes will fit behind them.
No point in tuning the engine, it's an everyday car first of all and will have plenty of fun in the corners
I'll make a post on the restro forum when I start making progress, first thing is getting rid of the kenwood sticker on the back windows

Update:
The girlfriend has been away with the car since we got it on some Geology thing but she came back a few days ago so I had a proper go in the car and... I'm very impressed, it's so much fun, the steering tight, it handles well and with the 1.4 you hardly have to lift off. Can't wait for some track action in it.
On the fun factor, I'd say it's more fun than the WRX, even though it's our sensible everyday car
On the bad side, she's gone back till the middle of the month
