S2 gearlinkage on mk3 box

Default S2 gearlinkage on mk3 box

I have a mk3 escort with a mk3 xr3i (B5) box and the gearlinkage is knackered, would a s2 linkage fit ok, i know i will have to drill holes in the tunnel, as it a cradle type on it the now. But will it select gears ok???

The later Mk3s came with the same linkage as the Mk4 anyway

My B plate has a Mk4 style linkage.

They were "mk4 style", but different. Don't think the mk4 selectors were never gated.

Might have some detail changes but I've swapped them on a couple of cars and never noticed any difference
