Restoring Dull Paint
After some advice, want to revive some of the parts on my white 3dr.
i.e the parts where the paint has gone yellowish, i.e door shut, tailgate shuts, etc etc
Whats the best to use? is t-cut to abrasive? g3?
will be applied by hand and not a machine.

not t-cut or g3 if by hand.
Poorboys SSR2 would be ok i reckon.
if you were closer i'd do it for you by machine, so much easier and much better results.
Might be worth paying for someone to do it properly.

bit of a mind field out there, sooooooooooooooo many products.
would like to buy a few detailing prodcuts for the car, to get the best out of the paint i can. (i.e polish, sealant/wax, wash, etc)

plenty to choose from, if you send Alex an email saying you're doing it by hand and it's for a white car, he'll recommend you the right products.
It may work out easier to pay someone to do it, then just buy some nice shampoo and wax to keep it looking fresh

Best start with something soft, like AutoGlym Paint Rennovator, if you wade in with T-Cut it could all go tits up and you could be through the paint before you know it as they paint aint that thick on a three door
If the Paint Rennovator wont touch it then move onto something harder like T-Cut or G3, try a small area at a time to

neil, cheers for the advice, previous owner has found that out lol, as the paint is thin on the rear quarters, and broken threw the paint and you can see 2 feint grey lines where its broken to the primer.
sorry mate, not sure why that didn't work.
i'd recommend;
Duragloss 901 car wash concentrate
Sheepskin Wash Mitt
poorboys waffle weave drying towel
Sonus Detailing clay
Poorboys Super Swirl Remover 1
Poorboys Super Swirl Remover 2 ( slightly more abrasive than SSR1, you could probably make do with just this, it'll help break through the staining on the paint and bring it back bright)
Poorboys World White Diamond Show Glaze
Poorboys World Natty's Blue Paste Wax
Poorboys World Wheel Sealant
Poorboys World Bold N Bright tyre dressing
then you want some applicators and plush microfibre cloths.
all this should cost less than a ton, but it'll last you a good couple of years at least...probably longer.
