Hi since owning my escort it has always had a hunting problem. we have a new hego/lambada sensor and tps sensor. but there also appears to be a leak on the vacum as when you buy pass it the engine runs as normal.

there is a pipe which comes fron the inlet manifold, runs to the map sensor (the upside down thingy under the header tank). it then turns into a metal pipe and runs along the bulkhead towards the brake and abs unit. here it changes back to rubber and goes into the off side front wing.

does anybody know there this goes to in the wing? and whats it for.
we need to remove the arch liner to find out but i just thought id ask so we know what its actually for.

It´s the exhaust EGR valve m8

 

it will be from the carbon canister mate [situated under the wing],it vents from the fuel tank via the solenoid on the n/side wing below the map sensor
