What is the "lakes tour"? excuse my ignorance! Is it for old fords only or just classic/retro cars or what?

 

its mainly aimed towards old skool escorts, but any pre 81 rwd ford would get on

hoping to get 300 there next year

...and there is a rumour of a cosworth/plastic turbo one aswell

What is the route for the lakes tour? Id be interested to try and gather a few local RS owners or maybe a couple of the local groups to have a run round it in the summer.

 

The Youth sent me a copy of it, just got it today, cheers Youthy.

 

Had a fantastic weekend, the tour itself was awsome, we left kendal and went past windermere, through ambleside and up the hartside pass then on to high force waterfall, then to the tan hill inn (the highest pub in england) before going over the buttertubs pass to return to kendal passing the ribblehead viaduct on the way, a total of 160 miles round trip.
will deffo be back again next year on the tour.

You've got to appreciate how many well presented old skool fords were there Well done to all who spent the time preparing the cars to such a high standard

 

We had a top weekend, missed tagging on the end of the tour by about 30 mins.....

But really enjoyed the sunday
