oil everywhere
My series 1 is blasting oil out of the dump valve. It goes everywhere. i took the dump valve off and it's still using loads of oil the underneth of my car is covered in oil. it's not the turbo as i've had mine rebuilt recently. i was told to take the breather hose off that connects to the bottom of the metering head and put it in to a bottle and see if oil collects in the bottle and it does, which points to the engine breathing heavy. which also points to the piston rings. thing is my car does not smoke at all and i'm told if it was a piston ring then it would smoke it's head off so does any one have any ideas.
Thanks alot

surely if theres that much oil in the intake then your turbos fucked? just because its been rebuilt recently doesnt mean its still good. ive have turbos last a matter of weeks after rebuilds and now buy new instead.
some one said it may be a blocked breather pipe? underneth the car is covered in oil so it's very hard to tell were it's coming from but i had a look today and there seemed to be quite alot around the oil feed for the turbo from the block, but if the engine is breathing heavy then it's preasurising the bottom end and then it pushes oil out of anything it can get it out of, is that rite?

I had this problem on my 1.9 pe engine. The engine bay would be full of oil from the dv. It was a fucked piston that was the problem. A bit of the crown on the piston had broken off along with the ring and was causing air in the bottom end. It would throw oil threw the turbo and intercooler from the breathers. My air flow meter would be about half inch full of oil. Do a compression test and you will see if a piston is down. I was 2 bar down in my piston. My oil cap was blowing off aswell.
