Im running windows vista & every now & then i get a blue screen come on saying "dumping physical memory then all the icons go larger then it restarts it's self. Anybody got any ideas why this is happening

Sounds like something crashed and Windows performed a core dump and restarted.
Should have a .dmp file on your machine with the timestamp of the last crash. Post the contents, we can have a look.
