Default s1 turbo starter motor

just went to start my s1 after 7 months out of action due to needing engine rebuilt and the starters engaging but not spinning.is the starter the same as a mk4 starter motor,or is it better to get a reconditioned one.

It's better to get a new type one from Ford. Better starter all round! Think they're about £80 ish exchange.

If you don't want to pay for that, a mk4 one is the same.
