probably because its been moved to the games room and you have to be a gold member to access that room

 

That's right Seems a bit over the top to me considering it's the biggest game of the year

 

Until a patch is released, it seems your only option is to sell your 60GB and go buy a new 40GB.

 

Sorry fellas, been meaning to do something about this issue for ages, so as from now, the computers room is now for consoles too and the name ammended.

you would think which ever mod moved it would use their common sense and accept that the biggest game of the year will attract a lot of posts and leave it in GD. Seems not

 

so am i like Dan Aykroyd standing outside the window of the resteraunt in trading places(with my non gold membership)

while all the goldies supp champers n chat about the biggest game ever

I can understand that to a point Stu but GTA 4 is quite a hot topic everywhere at the moment and on most forums you don't have to pay to read the Computer/Gaming section

There a load of GTA4 posts that isnt in the computer/console room that were in GD a few days ago?

Can someone start a GTA4 thread, as im sure there will be LOADS of questions on how to do shit etc, same as on all the other previous ones.

And about multiplayer stuff too, as that will be fun, not like ive ever tried multiplayer yet...

Found it on a quiet little gaming site after searching all day. Wipe out your save data (including the auto save) and the installed game data. Switch off the console and disconnect the power as well. Then restart as normal but DON'T connect to the internet. Install the game as before , making sure you're not net connected...this seems to be the source of the corrupt install file as I noticed when I did it the last 3 time sthat my router was going haywire with PS3 traffic. I also made sure the autosave feature in the game is also disabled as this was recommended as well. Just had it on 4 hours and not a single crash or even a stutter in the frame rate! Superb!!!"

 

Mine has been fine, smooth as fuck even when it gets properly mental, and my internet is never connected on mine

 

the screen is really dark,i can hardly see....

how do you play it online? cant see that option...

You get the mobile phone pretty much straight away, 1st lil mission, so id expect he has.

 

Well bring it up and select multiplayer from the main screen on it.Select options to adjust the brightness ect.. Most folk have had to play about with the brightness.

aint played much single player im hooked on the mutiplayer......just funny smashing in to some random guy with a bus.

 

i turned my pc ,ps3 well everything off at the wall,rebooted pc and now seems to be working!

how can that be,i didnt think my pc had anything to do with gta unless i'm online??

Yes, you will... you haven't done it yet have you? Because there's a patch due out for both machines, either today or tomorrow..

patch due is good news tho,any news on what the problem is??

 

It's something to do with data that's stored on the HD to save loading screens and some of the 60GB HD's cause problems.. 360's can clear their cache (Sp) and it helps.

It's FAR FAR more technical than that.. but that's I understood lol

Edited to add: Thank fuck you didn't lose all your data, when I heard I was like SHITE I've been telling folk to erase their game saves

 

if ihave my internet on my gt4 wotn even start up and if i connect it up durin a game it freezes my computer

 

yes you did but ive been in work since i bought the game..so only 4 hours game play..i want the helicopter thats going to be AWESOME flying over the city

regarding the multiplayer is there 16 online..whats the deal just kill each other user

 

there different modes..ie cops n crooks,deathmatch, and some co-op missons or you can have free mode and do what the hell you want, and yeah 16 player

 

Mine keeps crashing so im not playing it anymore, considering taking it back.

 

I had to re-install (whilst not connected to t'internet) ...been fine since.
