Default 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth Fuel Tank

Mine is weeping, seems it's gone porous or something...

Can you get new ones, if so where ? Or, is it a case of looking for a decent second-hand one ?

Also, any tips on removal and refitting (apart from making sure tank is pretty much empty before starting , oh, and not smoking on the job ) ???

They often rust around the outlets, the strap often break, and captive bolts seize in as well.
I know HADRIAN sell tanks to fit mk1/2 carb and injection sierra's, sapphys, estate hatch etc.

The bottom of the fuel tank is damp and there's a definite smell of petrol around the car when it's been parked anywhere for a while .

Looked up Hadrian, only seem to list a P100 fuel tank for a 1990-> sierra I would be surprised if they were the same

I thought there was a difference but don't know what it is.
Hadrian list 30-35-383 Petrol Injection/Diesel Tank DOHC sal/est/hb Ł52.50
I cannot confirm of the FIVE listed if it will fit, as DOHC probably does not refer to cossie's but twinkies etc, but check ford parts dept to confirm.

Been to motor factors (motor parts direct) and they list three, one of which is wedge shaped which I believe is for the P100, and two others, chap there couldn't tell me which one would be right

Will call ford on monday

Ah ok, that makes sense... I think I'll ask ford first and see if the price difference is worth going to a motor factors
