Hi all, I recently bought a Escort MK5 with a RS Turbo engine and the gearbox or clutch does not feel right.

I think the engine has been modified. Can you tell me what is the best gearbox I can replace it with as I might be upping the power soon

as it's a mk5 you will have no problems fitting the mtx75 out of a rs2000 etc in the engine bay you will need to get hold of correct mounts for it though unless there on it when you get it and this should sort any issues you've got

 

will the mtx fit onto a cvh ,
i have a mk5 escort and am still using the bc gearbox and its going fine but have always wondered what the best box to put in when mine gives up
