On greys and a T4
Done a trip to Birmingham, got home and then to Manchester.
Ended up getting 270 miles to a full tank.
Does drive well with the T4, a lot smoother than the T34.
Thought the mph would be worse than the greens but is slightly better, cannot moan there.
Dave.

it all depends on how you drive it , what i find with mine if i stay at 3 k/3.5k rmp and below in 5th with the XO38 injectors i can get easy 300+mpg on a full tank....
when my engine was brand new dynoed 400+, i went to france and italy with the family as long as i stayed at about 3.2k rpm in 5th fuel consumpsion was very good ...i suppose it's how we drive them what discides the MPG
cheers marco

true!.
But i did not take my time in it.
boot it..take it steady...boot it, you know how it is when everyone wants to try it on.
Could get better if i did not use the turbo so much, but i cannot help it.
Dave.
so out of interest, what sorta mpg do you get from like 270bhp / 300bhp 350 etc, cossies?
(tryin do decide if i can afford to run one)
if its 15 or over im happy, but heard horrible 5mpg stories! i take it thats just rod-like cars?

well ive done liverpool and back on 70 quid, not hanging about but then not over 110 either, average about 85 to 90 all the way and was ok
the petrols the cheep bit, parts and rebuilds are the expensive part of owning a cossie
woman in the petrol station in liverpool today asked if i wanted a receipt for the petrol, i was like,
"no thanks, its bad enough spending it, i dont wana keep accounts of where me moneys gone, or ill sell me car
my mate is depressed, he offfered to pay the petrol and his hyundai coupe cost him 25 quid to drive to liverpool and back
