A friend of mine has a standard series 2 rs turbo he's just had a new fuel tank fitted as it failed its mot because if it being rusted through.He had the car back for afew days with everything running spot on then it just conked out on him and wouldnt fire up again so he got towed home.I went down the next day to have a butchers and see if there was any thing i could do he turned the ignition on and the pump didnt prime so i thought straight away it was the relay so i took the vent out shone a torch down there so i could see and there wasnt one.Strange i thought so i stuck my hand up there to see if it had come of the metal bracket but it hadnt there was no wires or anything i did find a bluey coloured one but no purple could this blue one be the pump relay if not where else could it be ?

 

its a pink 1 for the fuel pump mate, always in the drivers side foot well, behind the speaker trim

 

is it mfi or efi ???

some efi ones dont have a relay

mfi should have a pink relay

but i'd be asking who every put the tank on he might of rerouted the wires for thr new tank ???

 

Its an mfi car and i know it should have a pink relay but its just not there the metal bracket is there that the wireing loom clips on to but theres no relays apart from this blue one there no wires or anything could it be down near the speaker when i took the speakers out of my 3i it didnt look like there was much room down there ?
