Default My New Toy

Well after saying a very sad farewell to my Escort, I have been busy looking for a genuine clean Bmw M3 Convertable.

After looking at so many dogs, I come across this one and have to say am thrille to bits. It does not have the same appeal and looks as the cossie but is a good replacment and fills the void left from parting with the cossie.

So far i have not missed the cossie and the problems that go with it.

The car is a awsome bit of kit, just been looking at performance tuning for it, to take it to 400bhp would involve a great deal of work. About 5k and then money would need to be spent on the vanos.

So far the smg takes a great deal of getting used to. The money i paid was very good considering the history and the options it has.
People say that the convertable suffers with body roll, but for me i think you need to be a full on f1 driver to really feel this.

The only downside is that trying to style the car, it becomes very expensive as people tend to over charge.

Talking

Am i a hairdresser, I could be, guess the cab has a advantage in the woman stakes as woman love the roof down. Guess i have 3 very comfy seats to fill with, well a blonde, brunette, well what else comes along. Think the other half would rip my nads off though.

I am looking forward to summer with it, but will miss the escort and the sounds she made. Just looking now at what i can do to improve the car.

Anyone have any ideas? No i dont need any fluffy pink dice

reminds me of when I had mine apart from mine had silver leather too.

Don't wanna put a downer on owning it mate but I got bored of mine, sold it for a FRS and then sold that for a new kitchen

My escos is nearly ready to come out again after a 2 1/2 year hibernation and another rebuild and I can't fookin wait. You never lose the passion for the escort cossie.

Don't spend a penny on it, save your money up and when you have enough, chop the convertible in for a CSL and then spend some money on that .

Great car but you will want your escort back soon.
I sold my escort for an M3 and had nothing but bother.
Front caliper seized and had to be replaced.
Electric problems
Servicing costs.
It was like my escort was still here.
Not knocking your car though.

Top motor mate, love the M3's. Got one and its the best car I have ever had, just tuning is a nightmare, you looked into forced induction yet?

I must be the only one who doesn't like M3 convertibles- CSL, oh yes, but sorry Gareth not for me-hope you get more joy out of it than your Escort though.

You couldn't be more correct mate!

One day I was picking my step son up from school. Everyone parks outside the school and somedays the police attend to move cars on out of the way etc. This one day I pulled around the corner and seen the couple of coppers standing but there was still cars parked there but he clocked me driving around and I parked right at the back away from the main "busy" part but this fookin copper came staraight over to me and said he was giving me a ticket!! I lost the plot and said to him that he's only doing it because of the car etc, swearing at him etc etc........I got out my car so he radioed for help, done a PNC on the car and a check on me then said he would arrest me if I didn't get back in my car whilst he wrote out my ticket!!! A couple of more arrived on foot so I got into my car cause couldn't be arsed really as my step son had come and got into the car. I then drove away (with my roof down) shouting "Fookin Wanker!!"

Needless to say I still had to pay the fine

Escyscott, that ounds just about right with the Police.
My other half is in the job and we have been stitched up big time by them, as they see me as a nominail, a criminal to you and I.

I know they will think i am a pimp but wont stand for there shit.

I do miss the cossie but its early days as to weather i end up in one again.
