hi folks having trouble with starting a mk6 rs2000 the car is an exellent example and low miles too. its keeping the imobiliser on when i try to start the car so the fuel pump wont kick in. its as if it wont register the key???

all other lights on the dash come on but obv wont start....
when it does this the light for the imob was flashing but now it wont even do this?

any ideas folks as if it cant be sorted easy the car is going!!! as its needed most days.

when you turn key light should come on the go out if it flashes fast the the pats or ecu not reading the key,try useing the spare key b4 you do any thing else,the other thing u can try turn key on and leave after aprox 1 or 2 mins the pats imo light may flash a code EG X XXXXXX will be flash code 16 then look up code on internet or ask fords or local mechcanic/auto locksmith
