Default MK 1 Escort coilover spring rates

I'm looking for some advice on what spring rates for my car.
It's a mk 1 Escort and I'm fitting coilovers to it but not sure what spring rates to use, it will be mainly a road car with some track use. It's got a cosworth engine in if that makes any differance. Any help would be usefull

its been 6years since mine was on the road but i was running 300lb on the front and 220lb on the rear.but this does put some load on the shell, so unless you have a good fitting roll cage you will start to get stress fractures in the roof pillars.

They are 2.25 diameter the back is four linked with a watts axle, front has both ARB and comp struts. The car is not caged at the moment but will be at some point with a full weld in group 4 type.

Talking spring rates

i,m running 280 on the front and 200 on the rears, front end has adj tca,s and comp struts, rear end has been 6 linked with narrow atlas and also the cage was a s,d bolt in type now welded into place with the rear bars replaced with longer ones reaching out to the rear turrets, then cross linked for extra stiffness, as youre mine is also a mk1 with cozy and for fast road and track use!!
