My escort is 99% standard, im just missing the radio.

have seen a few for sale. but ive never been sure exactly which model i need. 2040 i think?

is this a seperate unit to the amp/tape dack?

sorry for my lack of knowledge. ive never had an escort cossie before. or been in another one apart from my own.

pics would be great as well so i can see definatly what i need.

Seen some with the 2040 model fitted m8 , just watch out as the amp connections are different between the 2028 and 2040 models.

 

yeh i did some past forum searches, a few people look as if they have had problems.

so your saying a 1993 bit turbo could have been fitted from factory with a 2028 or 2040? just want to be sure cos im only buying it to make the car original, not really for pleasure etc.

 

orig came with 2007 h/unit and if you opted for cd player you got 2040 model with the seperate amp in the footwell

 

Also seen some late saphs with 2028 or 2040 cd players fitted too.
