rear quarter scerw caps

bit of a silly question i know but do the rear quarter screw caps just push on

no m8 just the black caps on the outside of the glass

I had mine painted mate as they rot from the inside out which stains the glass as it rots. Then i put a small amount of vaseline into the cap, put the cap into a soft cloth with the screw with the 4 lugs on it into it on top of a car washing sponge and give it a good sharp whack square on with a rubber mallet and they should go straight in.
