Default 90 spec efi escort spark problem

right basically converted the gfs mfi escort to efi, had a big prob sorting the fueling which i found out eventually was some1 had cut a main earth off the ecu to the batt! But now for some reason i'm not getting a spark! Remember it sparking originally when i fitted the loom and engine althou it was months ago now. So basically any1 got any ideas as to what could stop an efi escort sparking?! Cheers for any help

CPS sensor EDIS module something like that. Check the wires.

The crank sensor is fine tried a couple of them and a fwe edis modules with no joy, now worked out that the pump primes for the first few seconds when u turn the ignition on as it should as theres fuel getting to the rail but when u crank it no fuel comes in ie pump isnt working and no spark as i said!!

Will check the edis connectors but had a look at them before and it seemed ok!!

What about the DIS itself. Is that working good?

Check that the EDIS is getting +12V when the ignition is turned on AND when you are cranking.

well its getting enough volts with ign on will need 2 check when cranking later. Realised the gearbox should have had a speed sensor connected so took that off the 2i but still no joy. Any other ideas?!

Shouldnt really affect the coil pack thou as it was working mint before i took the engine out of my 2i althou wont rule it out, but its not just the spark its also not running the fuel pump when u crank it althou it does prime it when the ignitions turned on!!

Looking at a mates rsturbo tomorrow that had an fez turbo efi engine fitted into it but also had the turbo loom spliced into the mfi turbo loom which works fine so fingers crossed we can work it out from that!!
