Default i'm after a picture of an air con'd cosworth engine

Hello all,

I'm after a bit of help i'm building transit cosworth using a sierra YB engine! the donor van was a DOHC and had Air con so as most of the works done we'd like to fit a compresser to the YB and run it with air con!

I know you can get air con on the escorts but ive never seen one close up! basically what i'm after is a picture of and engine with it fitted - preferably out of the car! so i can see where the compresser and brackets are situated so i dont put anything in the way of it all

Cheers Luke

not got a pic with the compressor on the block but if you look at the pic below, the compressor bracket bolts on at the front of the engine just above the sump, i'll see if i can get a pic later of it in the car.

thanks guys

the one with the bracket on is very usefull!

i intended to do away with the oil filter extention and have the oil filter mounted directly to the oil cooler - do you think the air con compresser would still fit ok ?

Yes it will, thats how the 2wd cars are fitted so you will need a 2wd filter.

Side view of same engine:
