Recently I bought a new splitter for my Sapphire Cosworth from Ford because it was missing from my front bumper.

Last week I tried to fit it and it's about a foot shorter than it should be I called Ford and gave them the finis code (6151257) and they have told me that there should be a part number starting BB stamped on the back of the splitter Last night I checked the splitter and all I could see was what looked like 5 2 2 0 6 9 8 stamped into the rubber and no BB. The BB number on the packaging is 87BB 17B769 AA

Can anyone throw any light on what is going on & what I should be looking at please because at the moment I have a splitter that doesn't fit and the dealership I bought it from doesn't care

where abouts is it short

as if it doesnt meet to the side ends of the bumper on either side?

 

It's about 6 inches short at both ends if you place it in the middle

 

thats a noraml sierra one, cosworth part is longer at the sides & part number starts 16???? iirc

 

Do you know the finis code for the Cosworth one? I thought what I had was the standard one because it is also a different shape but the dealer isn't having any of it.
