right people , re-building ym zetec and just after some genral help, things i should do and check while the engines apart , its havin new rings new vavle steam sills re-lappin the valves in new cam belt , new gaskits and bit of paint , im gonna leave the block in the car i have the head off just remove the sump and push the pistions out the top , will this be ok ? or will i get probs ?

its probably easier to remove the engine from the car to be honest, still, there's no problem with doing it your way.

 

pointless goint to the extent of rebuilding an engine without a rebore imo
