My s1 its proper mint & almost original apart from lowering springs,exhaust & plug leads.
But because this sig pic with the bigger wheels everytime i look at the car now it just doesnt look as good as it does in the pic
What wheels look nice on the car? & will it waste the car
am i stupid?

Enjoy the car for what it is mate, you put big wheels on it then suspension comes next as it'll sit like a tractor, then the brakes will look small behind a bigger wheel.... it's never ending!

It's a stunner that should remain that way!

 

I always wanted an S1 on split rims,, similar to whats on Paul north yorks RS500,, but obv in the right offset,,, or if you look on the rsoc,, JBK is selling some RS200 wheels, iirc there 16" and are similar in design to the S1 wheels, just with an extra spoke

yep has to be the split rims like the one the cossie 3door boys use with a little dish, there was a s1 in PF that looked hard

 

Im just being a dick really If rims were to go on it they would have to be really good rims,split rim ect,,I have always fancied a set of azev c's on one maybe 16'' with low profile tyres anyone got any pics of one with them?

 

You need the speedline rims the rs200/motorsport s1's used would look the tits

or a set of diamond cut rs7's in the 16" fittment.

If not, a set of BBS splitties and low profile tyres would look ok, but personally, seeing pics of how mint it is, i wouldn't change a thing.

 

got a set of azev a's on mine and the car looks so much better for it but your car looks great on standard rims

 

as above , love the azev and also voodoo's look good on them . but i still reckon you cant bet a mint standard set of S1 wheels !

 

Series 1 wheels in 17's wouldn't really sell and as per the photoshop on another thread the other day, the stud pattern would look silly with such a big flat area on the face of the wheel!

All thats been done with Carlo's pic is the wheel size enlarged, the stud pattern has remained the same as a 15" wheel

Agreed, Diamond Cut Rondell's in 17 inch is the ONLY wheel i'd dare put on my car which is identical to Carlo's, as per my own sig

on a serious note ajs looks good on them rims, i see a s2 in red the other day with escos wheels on in anthersite and they look cool......

If you really have to go bigger, Azev A's or Borbet C's look crisp on A S1

 

Don't do it carlo! you cant do it to one of prob the best s1's about! keep it close to standard as poss. looks mint the way it is.

 

I reckon that Rondells look great on an S1.
