Congratulations mate
I found out that i'm going to be a Dad last month and i'm looking to get a Saff !!! I'm convincing the Mrs that a Saff would be practical; large boot for a pram, four door, etc ....... but i tihnk a standard or Stg1 might be a better option !!!

she always garaged up mate just cant really justify having that money sat in the garage and then spending 5 or 6 k on a decent family car. just pondering at the moment wanna figure out what it worth as it is and then work out what its worth in bits. i may keep it just weighing it all up at the mo.
go to loads of showrooms and tell them you are looking for a car for your future family and ask the questions about safety etc
if you are lucky they may even give you the loan of one if they think they are going to make a sale
then buy one from the autotrader that's a few years old and has taken the depreciation
