more cossie problems
I was under the impression that if it happens when on boost then its the valve stem oil seals, but if it happens on the over-run then its likely to be the turbo seals.
I could be wrong I suppose, not a helpful reply I know... lets wait til someone else comes along and answers it properly.
Cheers,
Grant

smoke on boost ither turbo or piston rings i would say piston rings turbo is easy to change if its that a engine rebuild with new pistons re bore new pump new mains new big ends new vlave guides new seal skim head gasket setect ect ect parts and labour Ł1.900 if you took your engine out or Ł350 more it will be a drive in drive out job
do a compression test and then a wet compression test mate
its either stem seals, guides or rings
problem i had i si done the guides and tems seals, for it to last 10 miles to still be smoking lol
so had to give the bottom end a rebuild

Mine used to smoke and that ended up being rings, get a leak down test done to confirm, but mine also had the piston slap from cold and I was told most 2wd engines due to piston design show bore wear after 50k miles, and mine had done just over 60k. Probably best just to save up for a full rebuild if you are keeping the car as while its apart best to do the lot.
