Default What would you replace a Focus ST with?

I'm thinking of waving goodbye to my Focus ST and want to replace it with something of the diesel variety. But this is where I'm stumped.

Any suggestions?

Needs to have some toys and needs to be comfortable over long distances.

BMW 330d is where my money is

Computer says 50.6 mpg avg, and its not been reset in months

Although not as big and comfy as a 5, its still not a bad car to cruise in. I do about 350 miles per week in mine.
I went for the 3 over the 5 because i wanted something slightly nimbler around the Nordschleife... I really like the 5's though, i had one previously for 3 years

That all depends on whether he wants new or used..... maybe a different price bracket, but personally, couldn't go from driving a Focus ST down to a TDCi Mondeo.... (unless it was an ST).

As my other half says.... you are supposed to progress with car purchasers... not regress!!!

I wouldn't. The Petrol version is brilliant, but I found the Diesel to have really horrific turbo lag for a TDi! I found the normal 140ps Diesel Octavia so much better all round

But personally, I'd go for any diesel BMW that takes your fancy. Going from a Focus ST, I'd say a late E46 330d
