Default routers

have know got a ps3 need a wireless connection for it the base unit will be in the back bedroom and ps3 will be in front room on the other side of the house downstairs anyone had probs any advice or shall i hardwire it ....thanks neil

My router is in the loft, and my PS3 in the living room 3 floors down and at the opposite side of the house, and I have had barely any problems. The odd disconnection but nothing major.

All depends on the router really.

keep it wireless mate then if you're crap you can always say your router lagged

I bought a netgear dg834g V3 (brand new from ebay but didn't have installation disc so had to go straight to the web to enter username and password) works great so far, even distances through proper brick wall

It depends on your router and the distance it has to travel really. You can always put another access point / signal booster round the house if need be
