Smile eibach lowered springs.

Hello all. I have just got some second hand 35mm lowered eibach springs for my big turbo escos, i would like to know if they would fit straight on to the standard struts on the front, or is there other things i might have to do first. Also are there any other things i need to look out for, or potential problems, i am also going to fit 18 inch wheels at a later date would these go on with the 35mm lowered springs, what width, ET and tyre size would be the best and biggest i could fit.

Springs should be a straight fit.
Can't help with wheel size, as would never use 18" myself.

If you get the correct offset (ET15 8x18), then you will have no problems. If you go for the OE ET20 offset, then you may find that the tyres will foul the spring cups...

35mm seems a lot, I have -20mm Eibachs and the drop is plenty big enough (see sig), I may be wrong but I thought 35mm can cause problems with driveshafts and handling too??

I have the 35 mm Eibachs fitted & have done about 40,000 miles on them - no sign yet of excess play in the drive shafts or dodgy handling.

You will get through tyres quickly though.

I'm still using the std wheels/tyres so can't offer you any advice on that issue but Mike Rainbird stocks some items to help with the tyre wear.
