Mine look like the ones in this pic. Does that mean they are ok or could there still be more damage?

Thanks again fella's

if they are in the block like on the pic of Jeroen, i would take them out and check the sides of the pistons, the sides can have damage that you don't see like that

Good luck

Mines had no damage at all mate. Just a bit dirty. Nothing wrong with it. And taking an engine apart isnt that hard. Just get the right tools. Its piss easy

Yeah most of it is genaral wear, but maby there is a big burst or a crack.... I would always take the pistons out when you have your block open. Maybe you rebuild your engine for loads of money and then somethings goes wrong because of a crack of to much wear on your pistons..

Also you can check the lines in the block for the oil to come round the pistons to lubricate it (don't know how you call in it in english :'()

Just give it a hone and indeed look for cracks. Get new pistons rings, main and rod bearings, new waterpump, oil pump etc. Make sure you use the right tools. Torque everyting like the specs and you will be fine. Make sure the crank is good. get everything messured up

OK. Finally got some pics uploaded. Here's a pic of my block!

When changing the rods etc like you say, do I also have to change the bolts (like head bolts) or just use the same ones?

Thanks guys

you can reuse them. But if you want better ones just get ARP. But if you are on a tight budget like me you can use them again. Just torque them with the right spec

Same way i did mine last night:
Support the engine on a block of wood with a jack underneath, take the mount off the wing completely, then undo the bellhousing bolts and remove the starter/alt etc. wiggle it all about for ten minutes until the flywheel end is pointing straight up in the air and the crank pulley is on the floor, then lift it out!!
