Im sure they didnt chance their minds just cause of some names on a website LOL
This type of thing reminds me of people who pray for someone who regain their sight or whatever.... cause they prayed it MUST of been god or a miracle that did it!

I must be honest, I'd never heard about the tragedy.
I mentioned it to my parents, and they remembered it as clear as day. I showed them the link, and their comments agree with my sentiments.
It's not about whether the petition had any effect - it shows that people still care, and that they're not so passive to assume that they can't make a difference.
Good news either way - very pleased.

Nail on the head PON. The incident was before my time also, but like you my parents remember it well. Probably like most of us remember Lockerbie.
I'm sure they never actually had concrete plans to do this, they probably just wanted to see what the reaction would be, people in power are sick like that sometimes.
