Default xr2 keeps cutting out

only just started to do it, will run for about 5 mins until warm then will cut out, but leave it for a couple off minutes and it will start again, any help would be great need to get sorted as still need to drive it for a week until the new engine gets put in.
thanks

XR2 without an "i" should be a carb'd one, came with mechanical pump.

Had the same problem. Hole in a diaphragm. Buy a service kit (Ford sells them, Burton also, cost 22.50 for DFT @ Burton, same price for the TLDM) and it all should be fine again.

Second thought: could also be the cold start thing...

there's a timing mark on the rear (engine) side of the pulley, but this is not very useful...

Put on the lower cover for the cambelt and the pulley for the alternator pulley.
