Default rocker cover gasket

im gonna change my rocker cover gasket for one of them rubber ones today as mines leaking but ive not changed one before ,is it a simple case taking old one off and put new one and and bolt her up ?or is there someone else i should be doing?

yes mate it's just a case of replacing it. this probably goes without saying but make sure both surfaces are clean and free from any old gasket. also don't bollock the bolts down too tight either

I always use the genuine ford ones, the aftermarket ones are crap

You need a 1.8 Sierra CVH one from ford as they have metal studs in them so you don't split the gasket

Have one on mine but cost about £20? for Ford

put a gen. one on mate the rubber ones are crap , they piss out oil allover
