Default Ebay or Autotrader??

For selling a car, whats best, Ebay or Autotrader? I'm guessing that both will be similar costs?

Also, you seem to be able to list a car on normal Ebay or Ebay Motors?

ebay's full of wasters wanting something for nothing. autotraders better imo but ebay will geta wider audience rather than the local area in autotrader.

Ive only ever attempted to sell 1 car on ebay and i would never do it again, i clearly stated cash on collection within 7 days, the lad who won it asked me to keep it for him for 3 WEEKS untill he could sort a loan out, i even offered to deliver it for him as he lived near silverstone and i was going down for trax that weekend, he then asked me if i would accept a cheque when i got there needless to say he got fucked rite off, then the cheeky cunt had the cheek to leave me a negative

Sounds like Autotrader is the favourite then. Just hope for not too many tyre-kickers.

Just put it on both. Ive sold loads of cars on autotrader and never really had a problem selling them for what i want for them. I also used ebay to sell my bike on a classified ad, and i could have sold it 10 times over, and got more than i was expecting too.

It just depends on the car and how its priced when it comes to selling. Most people actually looking for a specific car will look on ebay AND the autotrader anyway, so take your pick or go for both.

You get idiots, whether its ebay, autotrader or PH, PH being by far the worse from my experience.

It depends what you wanna sell. If you have a decent car, in good condition, then autotrader is better.

If you have a pile of junk, with neons and some cardboard bodykit, and want Ł20k for it, then ebay is the way to go.

i think ebay gets a wider audience, its a lot easier to find specifics than auto trader is, but tbh you get loads of morons, ive managed to sell 1 car on ebay out of maybe 5, with loads of timewasters and tbh at the cost id say go for autotrader

pistonheads seems a much better alternative to both though, get a lot of people looking at it, and with it being free its worth a try

weve just found our new car on pistonheads, picking it up saturday
